Our Story So Far...
Since 2004, TES has grown from a specialist ANPR provider into a trusted technology partner for councils, transport hubs, and private operators across the UK. Along the way, we’ve delivered award-winning projects, pioneered new platforms, and continued to invest in innovation. Here are some of the key milestones that shaped our journey.
2004
TES Founded
TES is established and launches the first CCTV enforcement vehicle designed specifically for the UK Local Authority market.
2007
Civil Enforcement
Changes to legislation that led to the harmonisation of civil traffic enforcement procedures throughout England, enabled TES to become one of the first systems to be certified under the Certification of Approved Devices.
2011
Workplace Parking Levy
TES developed the UK’s first ANPR-based Workplace Parking Levy survey system for Nottingham City Council.
2012
London Olympic Games
TES supported the London 2012 Olympic Games with the new CDM and ANPR Spotter solution, enforcing over two million virtual permits and enabling smooth transport operations for one of the world’s largest events. Leading to a British Parking Award the following year.
2015
TES Becomes ISO 9001 Certified
TES gain ISO 9001 certification becoming an early adopter of the new 2015 standard.
2016
Horizon 2020 Program
TES are awarded funding from the Horizon 2020 program of the EU for their TAIS project. One of the highest awards made to a UK tech business at the time.
2017
Small Blue Launched
TES newly launched Small Blue cameras are chosen by Stoke City Council for their bus lane and red route enforcement schemes.
2019
Air Quality Innovation
TES won the Transtech Air Quality Impact Award with Islington Council, using an advanced version of the Small Blue enforcement camera combined with high-quality pollution sensors. The project demonstrated a self-funding solution to monitor and improve urban air quality directly affected by road traffic.
2022
Moving Traffic
After changes to Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act TES systems are approved for use to enforce moving traffic contraventions in England.
2024
Mini Blue Launched
TES newly launched Mini Blue cameras are chosen by Brighton and Hove City Council for a long-term Air Quality survey project.
2025
Crown Commercial Supplier
TES are awarded a place on the CCS RM6347 Transport Technology Framework .
